Listen, belly fat is stubborn, and in order to lose midsection fat, you are going to have to go after not just total body fat, but also the stubbornness of your midsection fat. The only way, and might I add, "safe way", to tackle midsection fat, is by following the basic principles of a healthy lifestyle.

What are these principles?

It's simple: Proper nutrition, sleep, water, exercise.

With proper nutrition, you want to make sure you are getting plenty of protein (poultry, fish, nuts, protein shakes, etc.), fiber (apples, bran, wheat), complex carbs (whole grains), healthy fats (fish, nuts, olive oil), and foods rich in vitamins and minerals (veggies & fruits).

Getting an adequate amount of sleep every night is an often overlooked factor when it comes to one successfully being able to lose midsection fat, and total body fat. Sleep is vitally important for fat loss. It will allow your body to completely recover and repair from exercise (which during this process, will also burn calories), and thus burn off fat...especially the stubborn midsection fat.

Drink plenty of water daily. 1/2 gallon to 1 gallon of water daily is ideal. I know it's a lot, but trust me, it will pay off in incredible dividends.

Cardio exercise and weight training exercise. You have got to do both. You need cardio to improve heart health, stamina, and to lose midsection fat and total body fat. You need weight training to maintain proper balance, strength, and to burn off even more calories...even while you rest....even after 48 hours from your previous workout!
